Job summary

Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets in New York City is seeking a 2027 Power & Utilities Investment Banking Analyst. The role focuses on supporting client pitches, constructing financial models, and delivering market/industry analysis to help clients achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree completed between December 2026 and July 2027.
• Strong interest and knowledge of the financial markets.
• Proven record of academic and extracurricular achievement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Generally supporting client pitches and deal execution efforts.
• Evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients; develop financial models and presentations.
• Financial and written analysis including valuation models and pro-forma statements.
• Drafting prospectuses and marketing presentations for transactions and applying product knowledge.
