Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Power Transformer Control and Wiring Design Engineer to design control panels and wiring diagrams for large transformers. You will generate detailed wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, and schematics while ensuring compliance with design rules and quality standards.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to meet customer requirements and manage projects from conception to completion, contributing to innovation and efficiency of Siemens Energy Power

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years in control panel and wiring design for medium/large power transformers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and EPLAN or similar software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• US work authorization; willingness to relocate to Charlotte, NC if not local.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control panels for large power transformers.
• Create wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, and schematics for approval and production.
• Order materials and components to support your designs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and support field service.
• Manage projects, including budgeting and scheduling, with clear stakeholder communication.
