Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marine or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in Commercial, Risk, Trading Analytics, Marine, Scheduling, or Marketing.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to organize large data sets.
• Clear and concise written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to turn messy information into clean summaries.

Responsibilities

• Support power supply planning for refinery and industrial electricity needs across North America.
• Support the Power Book Lead and trading team with daily tracking of power positions and market exposure.
• Assist with trading profit and loss, risk, and position reporting involving multiple internal groups.
• Track day-ahead and real-time power prices, forward curves, and market events.
• Develop and maintain models, dashboards, and tools to visualize power market exposure and costs.
• Collect and organize large datasets from market platforms, utilities, and internal systems.
• Provide analytical support for new business opportunities and trading strategies.
• Prepare recurring market updates, cost reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Interface with back/mid-office and external contacts on settlements and market intelligence.
