Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Pricing Specialist to manage daily pricing, analysis, allocation, and reporting across geographies and channels. You will work with Marketing Territory Managers, Schedulers, Traders, and IT to optimize the value chain.

This role requires a strong foundation in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, with the ability to develop pricing models and dashboards while understanding energy markets and key business drivers. On-site full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in analytical, pricing, fuel marketing/sales, supply operations, or revenue/profitability management roles required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI; development experience preferred.
• Process improvement mindset and results-driven approach.
• Knowledge of U.S. West Coast petroleum markets and MarketView/OPIS Benchmarks preferred.
• Ability to develop and maintain complex pricing models and reports.

Responsibilities

• Executes daily pricing for multiple products and geographies according to strategies.
• Collaborates with partners to execute short- and long-term value-adding strategies.
• Optimizes sales vs. forecast with Commercial Market teams.
• Analyzes monthly volume and netback performance by region and channel.
• Monitors market trends, conditions, and competitor pricing; responds to market changes.
• Maintains pricing tools and supports enhancements and IT-scope improvements.
• Performs ad hoc analyses and communicates insights to management.
• Supports weekend/holiday pricing and allocation; participates in IT/tool enhancements.
