Job summary

Jobot in Houston, TX is seeking a trading professional to execute physical and financial power trades across ISO/RTO markets. Responsibilities

• Execute physical and financial power trades across regional ISO/RTO markets
• Develop and manage trading strategies to capture value across day-ahead, real-time, and forward power markets
• Monitor market fundamentals to inform trading decisions
• Manage position risk and P&L within defined risk limits
• Collaborate with scheduling, risk management, and origination teams on deal structuring and execution
• Maintain relationships with counterparties, ISOs, and market participants
• Ensure accurate trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes
• Stay current on regulatory developments affecting power markets

Job Details

• Execute physical and financial power trades across regional ISO/RTO markets
• Develop and manage trading strategies to capture value across day-ahead, real-time, and forward power markets
• Monitor market fundamentals (weather, load, generation, transmission constraints) to inform trading decisions
• Manage position risk and P&L within defined risk limits and mandates
• Collaborate with scheduling, risk management, and origination teams on deal structuring and execution
• Maintain and build relationships with counterparties, ISOs, and market participants
• Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes
• Stay current on regulatory developments (FERC, NERC, ISO tariffs) affecting power markets
