Job summary

Aggreko is hiring a Power Technician 2 in Chickasha, OK. You’ll work in the service center or at customer sites, either alone or in a small team, to service, repair, commission and operate Aggreko products.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical gear, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors; you’ll troubleshoot at shops and sites and set up equipment for customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Valid driver’s license; DOT medical or TWIC card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution gear, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and at customer locations and perform repairs.
• Work solo or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2 in Chickasha, OK. You'll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products.

What you'll do:

• You'll be based out of our Chickasha, OK service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
