Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Technical Support Representative to provide advanced technical support for generators, transfer switches, solar inverter systems, and battery energy storage products. You will collaborate with Generac's authorized dealer network to diagnose issues, offer troubleshooting guidance, and authorize warranty repairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
• At least 3 years of technical experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical theory knowledge, including AC/DC fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and emails from dealer technicians with troubleshooting guidance.
• Document customer interactions and troubleshooting steps.
• Resolve routine to complex product and technical issues.
• Document unresolved issues and escape findings.
• Perform on-site diagnostics, inspections, and repair support.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Serve as SME for generator, inverter and energy storage troubleshooting.
• Advocate for product improvements and documentation.
