Job summary

Holt of California in West Sacramento, CA, is seeking a shop-wide technician to perform monthly inspections and assist with generator and engine maintenance in our Power Systems Service shop.

The role involves delivering parts to technicians, supporting after-hours operations, and equipment handling for rental units. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and effectively write electronic service reports.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including measurement conversions and unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly inspections on shop forklifts, unassigned service vehicles, load banks, and the power systems service shop.
• Deliver parts, tooling, cables and other items to service technicians in the field.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of generators and engines.
• Check in rental equipment and manage units going in and out on rent.
• Make minor repairs to rental equipment such as trailer wiring, jack and chassis.
• Load, unload, move and organize new engine and equipment deliveries.
• Deliver smaller generators to customer locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
