Job summary

Riggs CAT in Little Rock, AR seeks a Power Systems Engineer to support our power systems initiatives and drive growth. You will oversee power systems projects from start to finish to ensure customer satisfaction over the timeline.

The role requires strong engineering background, leadership, and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Travel 25% and experience with diesel engines and generator systems preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management or engineering related roles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical field (education may be waived with experience).
• Strong understanding of engineering issues, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service related to product design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven with high motivation and adaptability.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Order Caterpillar and non-Cat materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage start-up procedures and documentation with contractors, engineers, customers, and suppliers.
• Create submittals for customer approval before manufacturing.
• Monitor production progress for accuracy and quality against requirements.
• Track project costs and prepare a Project Cost Summary.
• Coordinate meetings from kick-off to post-production.
• Source and expedite components within forecasted budgets.
• Maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners to meet scope, budget, and timelines.
• Ensure project quality aligns with design specifications and resolve issues.
