Job summary
ABB Houston is seeking a Project Engineer with a background in power systems to support engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery through effective technical leadership and coordination. You will develop and review electrical deliverables, attend customer design reviews, and manage scope and schedules across multiple projects.
You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities, and occasionally travel to customer and manufacturing sites to
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 2+ years of experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Experience in power system studies, substation design, and protection & control
Responsibilities
- Support engineering projects with technical leadership, coordinating scope, schedule and quality.
- Develop, review, and approve electrical deliverables per codes and ABB standards.
- Attend design reviews and coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage engineering scope, risks, schedules, and change control with Project Management.
- Assist FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities; coordinate vendors and subcontractors.
