Altorfer Industries Inc. is seeking a Union Power Field Service Technician in Addison, IL. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing power systems, completing reports, and ensuring high service standards for CAT and non-CAT equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in electric power generator maintenance and repair.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining efficiency and cleanliness.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to follow directions.
• Represent Altorfer's professional image with effective communication and work ethic.
• Writing technical reports and using reference resources as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Power Systems equipment, complete service reports, PM checklists, and timecards per department guidelines.
• Utilize SIS, ET, parts catalogs, and service manuals to perform tasks efficiently.
• Take ownership of jobs, segment tasks, and order parts for seamless execution.
• Communicate job status effectively to clients and office personnel.
• Conduct complete visual inspections and testing of Cat and non-Cat engine and generator sets; note deficiencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and testing on Cat and non-Cat engine and generator sets to ensure reliability.
