Job summary

JDC Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician (FSR3) to troubleshoot, maintain, and service electrical systems and industrial controls at client sites. The role supports the Chicago metro region while aligning administratively with the Iowa office.

You will perform on-site diagnostics, startup support, and system commissioning, travel frequently, and uphold safety standards including OSHA guidelines. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on field service experience in power or industrial controls.
• Experience with transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLCs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with field service management software, ERP, and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• On-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Provide system diagnostics and address technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Support startup and commissioning to meet customer specs.
• Serve as primary customer contact during service visits.
• Document service activities and generate test reports.
