Job summary

JDC Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Power Systems Field Technician to diagnose issues, restore operation, and commission equipment across customer sites. You will interpret test results, perform repairs, and support startups and commissioning of power equipment.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of transformers and breakers, familiarity with LV/MV systems, and willingness to travel regionally and nationwide. OSHA/NFPA certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• Education focused on electrical systems and certifications are valued.
• Experience of 3–5 years in field service for power systems or industrial controls.
• Hands-on background troubleshooting transformers and breakers.
• Comfort with field service software, ERP tools, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose alarms and symptoms across transformers, circuit breakers, and LV/MV switchgear.
• Run diagnostics, interpret test results, and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Support startups and commissioning, verifying settings and interlocks.
• Travel to customer sites and JDC locations nationwide; communicate findings and set expectations.
