Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate with standard, unmodified mobile devices. As an Electrical and Power System Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team responsible for the full development and operations cycle of satellite electrical and power systems, from requirements to post-launch reviews and anomaly investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with strong academic performance.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• 2+ years of experience leading a team or technical project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain unit- and subsystem-level technical requirements.
• Lead trade studies, architecture development, and interface definition at the unit and subsystem level.
• Support detailed design activities, including creation and review of schematics, layouts, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Perform electrical and power analyses including power integrity, transient analysis, worst-case circuit, derating, voltage drop, and grounding analyses.
• Plan and lead unit- and subsystem-level acceptance and qualification testing, including test plan development, EGSE definition, test execution oversight, and test report generation.
• Lead failure investigations and support root-cause analysis during testing and operations.
• Conduct on-orbit data reviews and support anomaly investigation and resolution.
