Job summary

WSP in the U.S. seeks an electrical studies and protection engineer to perform electrical studies and system protection for generation facilities, substations, and transmission systems.

You will conduct protective relaying, power system planning, design studies, and author detailed technical reports, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Excellent written communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • Requires BSEE, BSEET, or BSCE from ABET-accredited university.
  • 3–5 years of industry experience in electrical design or device configuration.
  • Strong understanding of power system fundamentals and proficiency in technical writing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical studies and system protection services for conventional and renewable generation facilities, substations, and transmission systems.
  • Protective relaying, power system planning, and design studies.
  • Write detailed technical reports.
