Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Electrical Engineer to work on our Electrical Controls and Structural Engineering team at the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC). This position supports research and development in electrical energy generation, storage, transmission, and distribution with a 4x10 schedule and Fridays off.

You will apply engineering principles to electrical systems, collaborate with engineers and customers, and help ensure safe, resilient delivery of power to end users while

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s in power engineering, electrical engineering or related field from ABET-accredited institution.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE 'L' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Responsabilidades

• Perform detailed analyses on current power transmission and distribution systems to inform development and design decisions.
• Apply electrical engineering theories to pursue solutions for secure, sustainable, resilient power systems.
• Collaborate with customers to develop system alternatives and analyze risks and costs.
• Provide technical reviews of design output and obtain approvals for design output.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, operations personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure proper execution of testing activities.
• Establish and maintain configuration management, develop design descriptions and test procedures for equipment.

Formação académica

Bachelor’s in power engineering, electrical engineering or other related field from an ABET accredited institution
