Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking an engineer to drive generation technology development and deployment inVistra operations and commercial development. You will manage programs to improve availability of new tech and enhancements to existing tech.

You will lead technical support for new technology applications, assist Operations at plants in development or operation, perform root cause analyses, and contribute to economic justifications for projects.

Qualifications

BS or higher in an engineering discipline required.
Licensed Professional Engineer or equivalent experience required.
Experience with fossil, solar, battery, or nuclear plant technologies; 8 years preferred in power plant operations/engineering.
Strong communication with peers, management and external agencies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for the development of commercial/environmental/reliability/sustainability interests in new technology applications.
Support Operations in applying technologies at operating plants or plants in development.
Perform root cause analysis.
Provide innovative solutions for difficult problems.
Contribute to economic justification/analysis for projects.
Participate in and lead special projects or teams.
