Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking an Engineer II - SCCAF to provide power systems studies and engineering support for commercial, industrial, and data center projects. You will develop short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses, review submittals, and lead a small team on projects of limited scope.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and typically 2+ years of experience in electrical power systems, with familiarity in ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower, and knowledge of NFPA 70E, IEEE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, construction sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of Engineering Experience.
  • Experience with electrical power systems analysis, protection, or system studies preferred.
  • Engineer-In-Training and pursuit of PE registration encouraged.
  • LEED AP is desired for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects of limited scope and oversee junior engineers and staff.
  • Review submittals in coordination with the Engineer of Record.
  • Develop power distribution system designs including lighting and grounding.
  • Create single-line diagrams for feeders, protection devices, and layouts.
  • Perform system modeling: short circuit, coordination, arc flash analyses.
  • Coordinate study results with project specs, equipment procurement, and construction requirements.
  • Visit jobsites to collect data and verify existing conditions.
  • Produce technical reports and recommendations for system protection and coordination.
  • Engage with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors during design and construction.
