Power Systems Engineer ( Transmission Coordinator) is needed for a contract opportunity with our client located in Pennsylvania.


Job Details

Duration: 24 months initial contract
Start date: Sep2025 subject to change
Location: Hybrid/Open for remote
Hourly pay rate: : $35.21-$47.89 W2

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the Client Planning database as an accurate source of information for all related planning activities. Support outreach to Client transmission owners for timely updates regarding RTEP project status for Client database tracking and management reports.
• Provide analytical support, managing data entries and requests from the Planning database in support of the lead engineers and manager of the Transmission Coordination & Analysis department.
• Support the maintenance of the department compliance calendar for tracking requirements from NERC Standards and Client governing documents.
• Assist department lead engineers in support of analytical studies and project tracking.
• Support process automation, and tool improvements, as well as process documentation
• Proactively work with other members of the applicable PJM divisions to coordinate RTEP project integration activities. Examples of key tasks include outage planning, and EMS model coordination.
• Support department lead engineers in their project management functions related to establishing milestone schedules and detailed schedules as required, along with monitoring achievement of milestones and critical path tasks from engineering & design through construction and project in-service date.
• Support the competitive transmission solicitation process that PJM implemented in response to FERC Order 1000, including project cost and construction feasibility evaluations of competitive FERC Order 1000 project proposals.
• Maintains an exceptional level of customer focus.
• Maintains, cultivates and coordinates internal and external relationships.
• Assist departmental engineers in support of analytical studies and project tracking.


Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Ability to use mathematical and electrical theory
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support
• Ability to understand and adhere to compliance requirements
• Ability to produce high quality work products with attention to detail

Preferred:
• Experience with Tableau, SQL, or other programming languages
• 1-3 years experience with powerflow analysis and applications
• 1-3 years Experience with PJM Operations, Markets, or Planning functions



Estimated Min Rate: $35.21
Estimated Max Rate: $47.89
