The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager / Engineer to lead the execution of large-scale onsite power generation projects (typically 50MW and above). This strategic role focuses on supporting the growth of our Data Center Division, delivering power infrastructure for high-density, mission-critical computing environments.

You’ll be the driving force behind the engineering, construction, and commissioning of complex distributed energy projects using natural gas-fired generation technologies.

What You’ll Do

· Lead full lifecycle execution of onsite power projects — from design to commissioning.

· Manage engineering teams and field personnel, ensuring high performance and accountability.

· Oversee technical disciplines including electrical, mechanical, civil, and controls integration.

· Manage technical reviews, submittals, and documentation (e.g., P&IDs, specs, commissioning plans).

· Coordinate procurement, vendor relationships, shipping logistics, and delivery schedules.

· Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards during construction and commissioning phases.

· Facilitate seamless collaboration between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

· Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, and performance guarantees.

· Lead site startup, testing, and turnover to operations in line with performance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).

· 8+ years of experience managing utility-scale or industrial energy projects.

· Direct experience with reciprocating engines or similar distributed generation technologies.

· Strong knowledge of auxiliary plant systems (cooling, emissions, radiators, gas regulation, etc.).

· Proficiency in interpreting specs, drawings, contracts, and SCADA/automation systems.

· Familiarity with international shipping logistics and Incoterms.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Willingness to travel to project and commissioning sites as needed.

Preferred:

· Experience with OEM and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment contracts.

· Understanding of permitting, interconnection, and code compliance for distributed energy.

· PMP certification or similar project management training.

· Experience using document control systems and ERP platforms.
