Job summary

Entergy is seeking an engineer to design and support power distribution, performing planning, maintenance, and design tasks for routine and emergency restoration. The role covers grid design, asset management, reliability, and safety, requiring strong analytical skills and effective communication with field teams.

You will evaluate load flows, coordinate circuits, and develop settings for field equipment while ensuring compliance with electrical codes and Entergy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering discipline or engineering technology degree with PE consideration.
• 2+ years for Engineer II, 4+ years for Engineer III, 6+ years for Senior Engineer.
• Strong grasp of engineering principles; able to follow procedures and standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; proficient with math and project management.

Responsibilities

• Perform load flow and circuit coordination analyses using SynerGEE.
• Develop plans to correct un-balanced loads on distribution circuits.
• Size and set field equipment (reclosers, fuses, capacitors, regulators).
• Review DER documents to ensure compliance with Entergy standards.
• Conduct root cause failure analyses and develop switching orders.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and field teams.
• Create electrical designs meeting customer needs and reliability goals.
• Participate with customers and partners to communicate standards.
