Job summary

Lynk Engineers in Salt Lake City is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to plan, analyze, design, and evaluate electrical power systems for industrial and commercial projects. You will work under senior engineers, taking responsibility for calculations, studies, and deliverables while advancing technical skills.

The role emphasizes practical problem solving, coordination with utilities, and involvement from planning through commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or related field.
Working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and equipment.
Experience with electrical engineering calculations and power system analysis.
Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, drawings, data, and specs.
Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NESC codes.
PE license preferred but not required; EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

Support design and evaluation of electrical infrastructure for facilities and utility projects.
Perform calculations and analysis for generation, distribution, and utilization systems.
Assist with selection of switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and generators.
Review equipment ratings and system requirements against standards.
Develop power system models and conduct studies as needed.
Coordinate with utilities, clients, and project teams during delivery.
