Job summary

Qualifications

• PE license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience in the AEC consulting industry.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and electrical analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and building codes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for buildings and facilities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Select and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, generators, panelboards, and lighting controls.
• Serve as lead electrical engineer on projects, coordinating with architects, mechanical, structural engineers and contractors.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and deadlines.
• Review drawings, submittals, and RFIs to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Provide QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers and designers.
