Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Power Systems Engineer to bridge system-level power architecture with connector/cable interconnect engineering. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree with 1+ years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Foundational understanding of connector development and power architecture concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret system-level requirements and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable participating in customer-facing meetings alongside senior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customer engineering teams to capture requirements to develop power interconnect solutions.
• Translate system-level power architecture into connector and cable technology requirements to define product development.
• Serve as the front-facing technical point of contact for power architecture discussions, presenting connector/cable solution options, trade-offs, and roadmap alignment to customer engineering teams.
• Partner with product engineering and manufacturing site to develop and deliver power interconnect solutions.
• Develop technical requirement documents and specification inputs that drive new product development and design-in activities.
• Support qualification, validation, and design-in activities for new power interconnect solutions at customer sites.
• Track relevant industry standards and consortia (e.g., OCP) that shape power delivery roadmaps.
• Deliver customer and market insight back into internal roadmap and new product development.
• Assist senior team members in customer engagements.
• Build knowledge of the company’s connector and cable portfolio as applied to power delivery use cases.
