Job summary

AspenTech in Houston is seeking an Associate Distribution Management System (DMS) Application Engineer to deliver ADMS projects for electric utilities, configuring, testing, and supporting deployments across the project lifecycle.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams, leveraging Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO) techniques, traveling ~25%, and ensuring performance meets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• Master's in Power Systems preferred.
• Experience triaging complex systems and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement control systems at utilities per contract requirements.
• Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
• Support testing events with customers.
• Install and configure ADMS applications (DPF, FLISR, VVC/VVO).
• Collaborate with OSI development teams to troubleshoot and test changes.
• Interface with GIS teams to model electrical networks in the DMS.
• Configure software components to meet specs and test with customers.
• Train customers on operating the delivered systems.
• Provide technical support for live systems.
