Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Easton, MD is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to design, coordinate and test electrical utility installations, and support generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure. The role writes specifications for electrical purchases and assists in repairs.

The candidate should have FE certification or plan to obtain it within a year, a BSEE from ABET-accredited institution, and a MD PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (2) year experience in power plant, transmission, and distribution electric system design and operation.
• FE Exam completed or obtainable within one year.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills to work with department employees and customers.
• Familiarity with 69kV equipment, substations and medium voltage switchgear.
• Knowledge of protective relays and NFPA/NESC standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support for power generation, transmission and distribution.
• Design overhead and underground distribution systems 69KV and below.
• Write specifications and procurement documents for electrical equipment.
• Review shop drawings and electrical drawings for material purchases.
• Design, program PLC and SCADA control systems.
• Assist mapping the electric distribution system and provide outage support.
