Job summary

Google is seeking a senior data center infrastructure engineer in Sunnyvale to lead the design and optimization of critical data center power and electrical systems. You will drive innovative architectures and collaborate with Hardware, Software, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to scale infrastructure for AI workloads.

Job description

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing power HV, MV/LV systems (protection, controls, microgrids, onsite generation).
• Demonstrated understanding of NEC (National electrical code) and understanding of building codes.
• Ability to steer architectural direction across matrixed engineering teams through strong technical credibility and indirect influence.
• Ability to align executive technical leaders and executives to establish and execute technology roadmaps.
• Demonstrated track record of defining and executing long-term technical strategies/architectural goals for global data center infrastructure development teams.
