Job summary

Google is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to lead the design and optimization of data center electrical infrastructure across multiple U.S. locations including Reston, VA and Kirkland, WA. You will own outcomes, influence stakeholders, and drive architecture for efficient, scalable power systems.

You will ensure compliance with NEC and building codes while collaborating with Google teams to advance long-term data center roadmaps in the AI era.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing power HV, MV/LV systems (protection, controls, microgrids, onsite generation).
  • Demonstrated understanding of NEC (National electrical code) and understanding of building codes.
  • Ability to steer architectural direction across matrixed engineering teams through strong technical credibility and indirect influence.
  • Ability to align executive technical leaders and executives to establish and execute technology roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated track record of defining and executing long-term technical strategies/architectural goals for global data center infrastructure development teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $214000 - $298000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
