Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Eight or more years of civil engineering experience with a focus on power systems site development.
• California PE license is required; CA license preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations for power systems design and construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% and work at multiple job sites.
• US citizen and ability to obtain Military Base Access; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and oversee civil/structural portions of power systems infrastructure projects (substations, transmission lines, distribution).
• Develop detailed project plans, designs, and cost estimates for site development.
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations, and drawings compliant with codes and standards.
• Provide recommendations to improve feasibility, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with departments, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources; ensure on-time delivery.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control checks; document findings.
• Mentor junior engineers and review work products.
• Stay current with technologies and methods to improve outcomes.
