Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Trouble Technician to restore electric service and maintain safety across transmission, distribution, and customer premises. The role requires first class A or B lineman credentials and the ability to work from multiple company operating centers, including varying shifts and holidays.

Primary duties include testing, repairing, and upgrading lines; performing manual switching; and coordinating with dispatchers to ensure reliable power.

Qualifications

• Must have first class A or B lineman experience or certification.
• Experience with underground service systems is a plus.
• Willing to work from any Company operating center and cover various shifts/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Restore interrupted electric service on transmission and distribution systems.
• Test, patrol, inspect, operate and repair equipment and lines to ensure safe, continuous service.
• Perform switching, load transfer, and safe clearance for workers; coordinate with dispatchers and supervisors.
• Open trucks, read blueprints, climb towers/poles; maintain tools and safety gear in good order.
• Coordinate activities with other employees and customers for safe and reliable service.
