Job summary

Enercon is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer to join the Data Center Mission Critical Division, offering flexible work locations across the U.S. or remote work from within the U.S.

You will lead complex power system studies for data center clients, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients to meet project goals. The role requires a strong background in power system analysis, adherence to NFPA/IEEE/ANSI standards, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience with power system studies using electrical modeling software for mid-level roles; 6+ years for senior.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
• Experience with electrical codes/standards for power systems and data centers (NFPA 70 & 70E, IEEE 1584, ANSI).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to listen to clients and identify growth opportunities.
• Leadership skills with mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel 10%-20% as project needs.

Responsibilities

• Power System Analysis & Design: oversee short circuit calculations, MV/LV coordination, arc flash studies; develop/modify power system models.
• Data Collection & Documentation: gather site data, prepare engineering documents, ensure accuracy against codes and standards.
• Quality Assurance & Coordination: QA/QC deliverables, coordinate with stakeholders to resolve roadblocks.
• Industry Knowledge & Standards: stay updated on codes and safety practices for data center power systems.
