You will teach, advise, and assist customers to improve reliability and safety of power grids. Responsibilities include guiding customers on applying new technologies, designing demonstrations, troubleshooting relay issues, analyzing relay responses to faults, and contributing to technical papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with power system protection and relays.
• Experience with utility/industrial power systems focusing on protection, control, and operations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to customers on applying new technologies or solutions to their power system that help solve real problems.
• Design demonstrations of new technology or solutions for customers to teach how this technology/solution will enhance their system(s).
• Support SEL protection product questions and help troubleshoot to reach root cause.
• Analyze responses of protective relays to power system faults.
• Teach customers how to use SEL products or how protective relays protect primary electrical equipment.
• Contribute to and review white papers, application guides, industry journals, and technical papers.
• Provide product feedback and input to internal R&D teams to improve product functions and features.
• Collaborate with other engineers to share knowledge regarding applications, best practices, and process improvement ideas.
