Job summary

VARITE INC is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer for a 12-month onsite role, located in Overland Park, KS with travel to other client offices across the USA. The candidate should have 5–10 years in Transmission protection, relay settings, and P&C design concepts.

You will develop protection schemes, perform relay setting calculations, and use modeling tools (ASPEN, ETAP, SKM, CYME). PE license is a plus; position requires on-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• 5–10 years of experience in Transmission protection.
• Experience with Protection & Control design concepts and relay settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop protection and control concepts and relay settings.
• Perform relay setting calculations and develop setting files.
• Coordinate with clients and team members on protection projects.
