Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking a power systems engineer to join an international team of engineers on complex transmission and distribution projects. You will contribute by delivering high-quality technical analyses and engineering solutions across diverse markets.

The role requires hands-on experience with load flow, short-circuit, dynamic stability, and transient simulations, plus grid interconnection assessments and strong client relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in power system analysis and electrical network studies.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in the power systems or electrical engineering sector.
• Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard power system analysis software (PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an international team of engineers on complex power system projects.
• Deliver high-quality technical analyses and engineering solutions.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, dynamic stability, and transient simulations.
• Conduct grid interconnection assessments and ensure compliance with grid codes/regulations.
• Develop feasibility studies, contingency analysis, and network asset planning.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, present findings, and provide client support during execution.
