Job summary

Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative Inc. seeks a capable professional to lead the planning, design, construction, and operation of its electrical distribution system, including substations and distribution lines.

The role requires directing activities across engineering, construction, and maintenance with emphasis on safety and reliability. The candidate should bring up to seven years of power distribution experience, strong analytical and computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

• 0–7 years’ experience in the power distribution industry
• Ability to analyze complex, technical problems and exercise sound judgment

This position directs and participates in the implementation of the planning, design, construction, operation, and administration of electrical distribution system including substations, and distribution line facilities for Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SVEC).

Job Related Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

• Must have zero (0) to seven (7) years’ experience in the power distribution industry
• Must be able to analyze complex, technical problems, exercise sound judgment requisite
• Must have strong computer skills
• Projected oriented self-starter
• A valid driver’s license is required

• Knowledge and understanding of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and the Rural Utility Service (RUS)
