Job Description: Power System Engineer at DNV Energy USA, Inc.

DNV Energy USA, Inc. is seeking a Power System Engineer to join our team at our Dallas, Texas office.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop steady state, dynamic, short-circuit, and PSCAD models for renewable and conventional generation resources, including Solar, Storage, Wind, and Gas turbines.
2. Conduct system-wide power flow analysis, including steady-state, dynamic stability, and short-circuit analysis.
3. Perform due diligence for M&A projects by reviewing interconnection documents and identifying associated risks.
4. Complete interconnection applications and supporting documentation for projects across various RTOs (CAISO, PJM, NYISO, MISO, ERCOT, SPP) and markets (WECC, SERC).
5. Evaluate transmission and interconnection tariffs, costs, timelines, queues, and processes, providing strategic insights to stakeholders.
6. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in areas related to grid reliability and energy markets.
7. Participate in industry stakeholder meetings, both in person and remotely, and stay informed about market developments and policy changes.
8. Contribute to research and innovation activities by developing new techniques and analytical tools to enhance team performance.
9. Build new customer relationships, assist in preparing responses to RFPs, and provide Statements of Qualifications for new opportunities.
10. Work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility within a reasonable commuting distance of Dallas, TX.
