Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with PSS/E dynamic simulations.
  • Familiarity with Fortran programming and compiler toolchains.
  • Proficiency in Python for engineering workflows.
  • Background in wind energy technologies and grid-inverter concepts.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and integrate PSS/E models for inverter control and wind models.
  • Model wind energy conversion systems and wind plants.
  • Develop Python tools for automation and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with Siemens researchers on renewable integration studies.
  • Prepare technical documentation of methods and findings.
