Job description

General Information:

Join the Hitachi Energy US Front End Sales Team early in your career and gain valuable exposure to various parts of a sales function. This program will rotate you through 3 different sales experiences over 18 months (6 months per rotation) to build a knowledge base that will benefit your career.

Develop future sales leaders with a thorough understanding of sales management processes, customer engagement practices, and leveraging marketing initiatives and sales tools across Hitachi Energy businesses.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in the M&S trainee program: Learn about the relevant business, offerings, services, and product lines within the local sales unit.
  2. Engage with LSM, supervisors, and mentors to develop your sales skills and knowledge of sales management processes.
  3. Work on assigned projects and KPIs, partnering with key stakeholders to deliver on tasks.
  4. Contribute to a collaborative environment that encourages diversity and innovation.
  5. Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility and caring for colleagues and the business.
  6. Assist in account plan development, understanding local account strategies and sales tactics aligned with customer needs.
  7. Maintain contacts and build the player map in SFDC, working closely with the local/strategic account manager.
  8. Gain a broad understanding of Hitachi Energy's solutions, including digital, software, and services.
  9. Learn about segments and channels as applied in the local market.
  10. Support local marketing plans and participate actively in marketing activities.
  11. Establish and nurture relationships with clients within the local unit.
  12. Identify and research sales leads; support maintaining the SFDC pipeline and regional market trend analysis.
  13. Engage with potential customers via calls, emails, or visits, often across time zones.
  14. Work towards sales KPIs set by LSM, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  15. Document sales activities and maintain records using CRM systems like Salesforce.
  16. Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity in all actions.
Your Background:
  • Bachelor's Degree (any focus)
  • Work authorization to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy
  • Less than 2 years of post-graduation work experience
  • Technical aptitude in selling
  • Strong drive to achieve targets
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
