Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced NY/NJ Area Resources Power Sector Leader for the Area Resources Business Group. You will shape strategy and oversee projects across power delivery and renewables in the region.

In this leadership role you will grow HDR’s Power Sector footprint, manage key client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, aligned with HDR’s values and vision. This position may involve regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience developing and managing a wide range of client relationships and program/project pursuits.
• Experience with staff development including recruiting and career growth.
• Active involvement with industry associations and an active market profile.
• Ability to work with Regional Market Sector Directors and other leadership.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Grow, monitor, and participate in HDR’s Power services portfolio in NY/NJ.
• Partner with BD leaders to position ahead of market trends and diversify work.
• Identify opportunities to deliver design, consulting, advisory, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning.
• Support senior leadership with vision and expansion of HDR’s power markets in NY/NJ.
• Assist Area Resources BG Manager with daily operations such as project oversight and financials.
• Provide status updates to area management on Power Sector activities.
• Act as liaison to gain approvals from area management (promotions, training, salary increases).
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvement actions.
