Job summary

HDR's New York/New Jersey Area Resources Group seeks an Area Power Sector Leader to guide project delivery, grow the portfolio, and align with HDR's vision for the power markets in NY/NJ. This senior role combines leadership with hands-on project principal responsibilities.

You will work with regional leaders, manage staffing and budgets, and drive strategy across design, consulting, and owners engineering services for utilities, renewables, and industrial clients in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, planning or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
• Experience with development and management of client relationships and project pursuits.
• Staff development, recruiting and career growth experience.

Responsibilities

• Grow, monitor, and execute HDR’s portfolio of Power services in NY/NJ.
• Partner with local/regional business development leaders to diversify work and grow client relationships.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to deliver design, consulting, advisory, owners engineering and related services.
• Support the vision for Area Power Sector and implement HDR’s growth strategies.
• Assist area leadership with daily operations, project oversight, and financials.
• Provide status updates to area management on ongoing Power Sector activities.
