Job summary

Vitol in Houston seeks an operations analytics professional to oversee logistics, pricing validation, collateral management, and volume controls for power products and environmental credits across US and LATAM markets.

You will build automated dashboards in Tableau and Power BI, develop Python and VBA workflows, and collaborate with Legal, Contracts, and risk teams to ensure accurate settlements, compliant agreements, and timely daily reporting for traders.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in wholesale/retail market operations and data analysis in US and LATAM.
• Experience automating workflows and reporting using Python and VBA.
• Experience designing dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) for operations, risk, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics, pricing validation, collateral management, and volume controls for power products and environmental credits across US and LATAM markets.
• Lead automation and process Improvement using Python, VBA, and BI tools to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Coordinate with Legal, Contracts, and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate and compliant execution of agreements, settlements, and credit management activities.
• Manage scheduling and nomination of power deliveries and carbon certificates, minimizing imbalance and congestion costs while ensuring ISO/regulatory compliance.
• Deliver timely P&L updates, exposure reports, and automated dashboards to traders and stakeholders.
