Job summary

PG&E in Fresno seeks an associate Power Quality Engineer to join a team that identifies and resolves power quality issues for safe, reliable electric power delivery. You will work under guidance of senior engineers and peers to learn and apply engineering principles.

Responsibilities include analyzing voltage events, supporting power quality programs, and communicating with customers. A CA EIT and ability to read diagrams are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of power engineering experience.
• Active California EIT certificate preferred.
• Familiar with Rule 2 and voltage complaint procedure.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, SCADA diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to resolve power quality problems.
• Provide monitoring support for power quality issues.
• Support PG&E power quality programs and guidelines.
• Investigate correlations using PG&E tools.
• Provide power quality education to clients.
• Coordinate voltage issues with ADE or Distribution Engineer teams.
• Manage voltage complaint procedures company-wide.
• Support distributed generation power quality scenarios.
