Job summary
Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Senior Engineer 1 in Distribution Engineering Automation & Power Quality/Electric Magnetic Fields to lead cross-functional process improvements across hardware, software, and field support teams. You will partner with technical leads and field personnel to identify opportunities, develop insights, and drive initiatives that improve service delivery.
The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency of automation programs, with responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field.
- Seven or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance.
- Valid Class C Driver's License.
Responsibilities
- Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment and reviewing grid technologies.
- Leads preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation for stakeholders.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement future technologies and asset performance strategies.
- Assists in engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including new procedures and design recommendations.
- Leads handover processes to ramp and sustaining phases after installing new equipment.
