Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Project Manager in our Program Management department. The Project Manager will lead initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major projects, requiring exceptional leadership to navigate multi-functional challenges.

The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or engineering is preferred.
• Must have utility generator, distribution, or transmission project management or engineering experience.
• PMP Certification is desired.
• Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
• Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
• Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Consistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes.
• Achieves results by problem-solving, setting priorities and organization.
• Strives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self-development, demonstrating high levels of expertise and showing commitment, self-confidence, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex projects.
• Lead projects through all internal and external processes, and navigate the project life cycle.
• Oversee the project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Be accountable for key project decision-making.
• Manage a collaborative project team to meet scope, schedule, and cost.
• Lead overall project coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation.
• Lead project meetings and develop the project plan for the life cycle.
• Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Assess project risk and develop mitigation plans.
• Proactively manages project requests for information and action items.
• Ensure availability of resources to support the project.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
