Job summary

Capgemini in Chicago is seeking a Power Platform Architect & Lead Developer to design, govern, and deliver secure, scalable enterprise applications and automations across Power Platform and Azure. The role combines hands-on development, architecture leadership, agile pod leadership, mentoring, and accountability from discovery to production.

You will lead workshops, build solutions with Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, and AI tools, and set governance, environment, and deployment

Qualifications

12+ years in IT/software engineering.
4+ years hands-on with Microsoft Power Platform.
Proven delivery of enterprise-grade Power Platform solutions.
Strong hands-on skills: C#/.NET/Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, REST APIs, PCF, plug-ins, Azure services.
Deep knowledge of Power Platform architecture, governance, security, licensing, capacity, performance, ALM, and support models.
Proven ability to lead agile pods, mentor developers, review designs/code, enforce standards, and improve delivery quality.
Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, PAC CLI, Power Platform Pipelines, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and release management.
Experience designing agents and multi-step automation with Copilot Studio and/or Microsoft AI Foundry is a plus.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
Strong consulting, analytical, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Architecture-level Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, and/or Microsoft AI.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery and architecture workshops; translate requirements into target-state architectures and roadmaps.
Architect and build solutions using Power Apps Canvas/Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, Dataverse, Power Automate, Custom Connectors, AI Builder, Copilot Studio, Microsoft AI Foundry.
Design enterprise extensions including PCF controls, Dataverse plug-ins, Azure Functions, REST APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns.
Load/transform data into Dataverse/Azure Data Lake using Data Factory and Dataflows.
Define environment strategies, integration architecture, IAM, resiliency, performance, observability, and supportability standards.
Lead agile delivery pods of Power Platform developers and integration engineers.
Establish coding standards and ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated checks, unit testing, and release management.
Define and enforce governance, tenant/environment strategy, DLP, connector controls, security roles, managed environments, licensing considerations, ALM, and CoE practices.
Establish CI/CD and ALM using Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, PAC CLI, Power Platform Pipelines.
Provide architecture oversight for SIT/UAT/performance/security testing and production readiness.
Conduct executive presentations, demos, and technical workshops with stakeholders and Microsoft teams.
