Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a motivated student to operate and maintain Combined Cycle and Simple Cycle power plant systems, following procedures to improve reliability and performance under safety guidance from seasoned staff.

You will join a multi-skill progression program, conduct routine maintenance, support regulatory compliance, participate in safety meetings, and gain hands-on experience with plant controls, data acquisition, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a technical degree focusing on instrumentation, electrical or process technology.
• Currently pursuing a degree in a technical/engineering program (FT or PT active student).
• GPA of 2.8 or higher with official transcript.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day activities in maintenance and operations with a team.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and avoid reportable violations.
• Participate in multi-skill progression plan to develop key skills.
• Attend job briefings and safety meetings.
• Apply knowledge of plant systems, controls, data acquisition, troubleshooting.
• Perform mechanical, instrumentation and electrical maintenance as needed.
