Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Production Technician to operate and maintain Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) equipment. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and continuous performance improvement by employees and contractors.

Responsibilities include operating control boards, performing maintenance rounds, PM/PDM activities, water chemistry, CEMS calibrations, and troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical systems within a team.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to interpret P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics and OEM manuals.
Experience with troubleshooting and instrumentation in power plant environments.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain CCGT facility systems with safety focus.
Participate in multi-skill progression plan and obtain board operator qualification.
Conduct job briefings and safety meetings; lead contractor safety orientations as needed.
Perform rounds, PM/PDM tasks, data acquisition, and process control monitoring.
Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and electrical equipment in the plant.
