Job summary

Florida Crystals Corporation, a fully integrated cane sugar company, seeks a Reliability Engineer for the New Hope Power facility to maintain plant assets and implement reliability-based maintenance planning. This role emphasizes outage coordination, failure analysis and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in power-plant reliability, and familiarity with SAP and project scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum five years of reliability engineering experience in a power plant preferred.
• Professional Engineering license desirable.
• Experience with SAP and project scheduling software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with plant management on operating and maintenance conditions.
• Conduct engineering analysis to improve efficiency, reliability, safety and cost performance.
• Serve as liaison between production and maintenance for preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records for maintenance analysis and reporting.
• Support outage planning and reliability-based maintenance activities.
• Perform root cause analyses to prevent recurring failures.
• Develop and justify scope of work, specifications and contracts for outages.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to management and contractors.
