Job summary

Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX) Adak Generating is recruiting for a Power Plant Operator in Adak, AK. This full-time role reports to the Utility Operations Manager and oversees daily plant operations and maintenance to ensure efficient, safe performance within budget.

The position emphasizes coordinating maintenance, repairs, materials, and equipment, with a focus on reliability and customer service for Alaskan operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or related experience.
• Experience with remote monitoring or similar systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution principles including transformers and meters.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the Adak power plant.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs on plant systems.
• Troubleshoot generator sets and monitor operation per guidelines.
• Procure parts and materials for the project.
• Coordinate work with crews and customers and manage priorities.
• Maintain data in the maintenance management system and generate reports.
• Ensure environmental health and safety compliance.
