Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operator I to support the safe, reliable operation of a reciprocating engine-based power generation facility. You will work with a team to monitor equipment, perform startups/shutdowns, and assist with planned outages while following safety and environmental requirements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and basic mechanical/technical skills. The role requires adaptability to rotating shifts and a commitment to safe work practices in a high-reliability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret operating procedures and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Safely start, stop, operate, and monitor engine-generator packages and all related equipment.
• Monitor plant systems and adjust parameters to optimize performance and reliability.
• Record operations, inspections, and abnormalities in logs and reports.
